After taking a break in 2023, we are ready to hit the ground running for 2024. Come say hi at our event on October 21st at Legends Bar & Grill (3530 Decoursey Ave. Covington, KY 4105) anytime between 5-8PM.
Whether you are long-time Retreat Guest or volunteer, or you are new to KAREfarm and want to learn more: all are welcome!
We will have drinks, raffles, activities to remember our loved ones, and more! It will be a casual, fun-filled evening.
Wow! It seems unbelievable that KAREfarm just finished our 3rd year of serving those suffering the loss of a loved one. We have loved having the chance to provide no-cost retreats in the healing properties of nature while experiencing connection with others who are on a similar journey. We are so grateful to our guests who took a step out in courage and hope to attend a retreat and are humbled to have been a small step in their healing process. To date, we have served over 125 people who have lost a loved one.
We have had significant growth and interest in our services in the last year and with that growth comes a responsibility to ensure we make the KAREfarm offering sustainable for a long time to come. To continue our mission of ‘providing a healing space in nature for those experiencing loss,’ we will take a break from conducting grief retreats in 2023 and have a ‘retreat’ period of our own. A ‘training camp’ of sorts where we will take time to plan for the future; ensure we have the infrastructure to expand, think through our volunteer strategy, and continue to build more accommodations to serve more guests in the most meaningful ways.
We are excited to take this time to prepare for the next chapter for KAREfarm and appreciate the trust you have placed in us to further our commitment to this important mission. We will keep you posted on a quarterly basis about how the planning period is going, ways that you can engage, and will be ever-present on Social Media.
We especially want to thank those who give their time, talent and treasure! Without their love and generous support we could not serve as we do. These gifts cover so much, including decorating glamps, leading discussion, getting meals out to the farm, cleaning up, guest communication, accounting, social media, tents, beds, flowers, food, comfy decor, outhouse services, jewelry….and many other things to make our guests feel cherished and understood!
If you have any questions now or during this period do not hesitate to reach out on social media or to email us at karefarmgivesback@gmail.com. THANK YOU for your continued support of our mission of ‘providing a healing space in nature for those experiencing loss.’
Sincerely
KAREfarm team
